Theo’s story, “Dust to Dust,” made the short list for LitMag’s Anton Chekhov Award for Flash Fiction. Sadly, no publication for shortlisters… but grateful for the recognition.
Cleaver Magazine Summer Lightning Flash Finalist!
Excited to share that Theo’s flash piece, “The Person Falling Here,” was a finalist in Cleaver Magazine’s Summer Lightning Flash Contest, and was chosen for publication in Issue #40, their 10th Anniversary All-Flash Issue, due out in December, 2022. The title is an homage to the late Dolores O’Riordan, singer for The Cranberries.
Black Lawrence Press semi-finalist
Theo’s short story collection, Rescue and Other Relationships, was chosen as a semi-finalist in the 2021 St. Lawrence Book Award for Black Lawrence Press.
Best of the Net nomination!
Theo is proud to announce that Burningword Journal has nominated her flash fiction, “We Don’t Promise You a Rose Garden,” for Best of the Net for 2021. Best of the Net is an annual online award anthology curated and hosted by Sundress Publications, honoring the best online writing. Independent publishers are invited to nominate 6 poems, 2 pieces of nonfiction, and 2 pieces of fiction published in their online journals in the previous year.
